PC Game System Requirements

Minimum and recommended PC specs for 16 popular games, each with a one-click FPS estimate for your own CPU and graphics card in that game.

Quick answer

Pick a game to see its publisher’s official minimum and recommended CPU, GPU, RAM and storage, then check your own CPU and GPU against it in the FPS Calculator. The FPS figure is a general estimate for that type of game, not a benchmark of the game itself.

How to Read PC Game System Requirements

The minimum spec is the weakest hardware the publisher says will start and run the game, usually at low settings. The recommended spec is what the publisher suggests for a smoother experience at higher settings; some publishers state a target frame rate or resolution for each tier, many do not. Neither tier promises a frame rate on your PC, because drivers, background apps, resolution and in-game settings all change the result.

Clearing the recommended spec on paper also does not tell you whether your CPU and graphics card are well matched. A fast GPU paired with an older CPU can still stutter in busy scenes. That is why every game page here links to our PC Bottleneck Calculator and FPS Calculator, which estimate how your exact parts pair up at 1080p, 1440p and 4K.

Across the 16 games covered in 10 genres, the publishers of 9 recommend 16GB of RAM or more. The largest install is Baldur's Gate 3 at 150GB and the smallest is Minecraft: Java Edition at 4GB, so free storage matters as much as RAM when you plan a build.
